HIGHEST WEEKLY GROSSES IN LINCOLN CENTER THEATER HISTORY!

New York, NY (August 3, 2026) – Lincoln Center Theater announced today that the four-time Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of Ragtime has broken its own house record at the Vivian Beaumont Theater, for a third time, with a gross of $1,887,495.00 for eight performances the week ending 8/2/26, becoming the highest weekly gross in the history of Lincoln Center Theater. The critically acclaimed production of The Whoopi Monologues, a reimagining of Whoopi Goldberg’s iconic show, has also broken the house record at LCT’s Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater with a gross of $271,690.00 for eight performances this same week.

This limited engagement of Ragtime has been extended three times by popular demand with performances now concluding on August 16, 2026.

The Whoopi Monologues, which opened to critical acclaim on Monday, July 13, will conclude performances on August 30, 2026. Beginning tomorrow night, Tuesday, August 4, Emmy Award and SAG Award nominee Jurnee Smollett (“Lovecraft Country,” “Smoke”) joins the company of The Whoopi Monologues as ‘Surfer Girl.’
