New York, NY (October 13, 2026) – Seaview CEO, Greg Nobile, announced onstage at Project Healthy Minds’ World Mental Health Day Gala on Thursday, October 8 that the production company will continue its ongoing partnership with Project Healthy Minds for the upcoming production of Spring Awakening.
The collaboration builds on the organization’s recent partnership on Every Brilliant Thing, which connected audiences with Project Healthy Minds’ mental health resources and pathways to care. More than 7,000 people signed up to access mental health services through the nonprofit’s marketplace, demonstrating the power of live entertainment to connect audiences with meaningful support. Through this expanded collaboration, Seaview and Project Healthy Minds will focus on reaching young people and providing audiences with support inspired by the themes explored in Spring Awakening.
Project Healthy Minds will participate in a post-performance talkback with the Spring Awakening cast and creatives at a date to be announced, creating an opportunity to further explore the musical’s questions around mental health and engage directly with audiences. Audiences will also be able to access a cobranded digital marketplace for mental health services through a QR code in the program. Additional programming and initiatives with Project Healthy Minds will be announced shortly.
“Last week, Lilli Cooper gave a surprise performance at our World Mental Health Day Gala, and you could feel the entire room lean in,” said Phil Schermer, Founder and CEO of Project Healthy Minds. “The power of theater is that it brings people together, makes us feel something deeply, and creates space for conversations that matter. Every Brilliant Thing showed us that when a story moves people, they are more open to taking the next step, and more than 7,000 theatergoers did exactly that. The performance opened the door, and Project Healthy Minds was there to help people walk through it, with simple, accessible tools for mental health support. Spring Awakening speaks directly to human challenges we all carry, and we are proud to partner with Greg Nobile and the team at Seaview to ensure every audience member leaves not only moved by the story, but with a free, simple path to mental health support when they need it.”
“Spring Awakening is a musical that asks us to confront difficult questions about what young people need in order to feel seen, heard, and supported,” said Seaview’s Greg Nobile. “We’re proud to partner with Project Healthy Minds to keep that conversation going beyond the four walls of the theater and give our audiences accessible tools to find support when they need it most. Mental health is something we all have a role in talking about, and we’re grateful to be part of that work.”

This new production will bring Spring Awakening into an intimate Off-Broadway setting, returning the musical to the raw force and urgency of Frank Wedekind’s once-banned 1891 play. Feral, honest, compassionate, and unflinching, the production will explore the experience of young people caught between desire, repression, fear, and discovery — then and now.
