New York, NY (October 15, 2026) – Concord Theatricals is privileged to announce that it has secured exclusive North American English language stage licensing rights to Mark Rosenblatt’s Giant for its Samuel French imprint. For more information, please visit concordsho.ws/PerformGiant.

“It’s so exciting to imagine new creative teams working on brand new productions of Giant,” said Rosenblatt. “I couldn’t be happier that Concord Theatricals’ expertise, reach, and know-how will make that possible, allowing wider audiences to deep dive into this perilous, provocative afternoon in the home of a world-famous children’s author.”

“The team at Concord is exceptionally honored to represent this powerful debut play by Mark Rosenblatt,” said Amy Rose Marsh, Senior Vice President, Artistic Development at Concord Theatricals. “Giant is an urgent play for our times, and we are excited to see theatres around the world step into this story and make it their own. This isn’t an easy play, but a muscular, significant work that invites conversation and challenges the collective way we remember our heroes.”

A world-famous children’s author under threat. A battle of wills in the wake of scandal. And one chance to make amends. Giant tells the story of author Roald Dahl and the true scandal that shook his legacy.

Following a lauded West End run and three Olivier Awards, Giant played an acclaimed limited run on Broadway in the spring and was nominated for four 2026 Tony Awards including Best Play, Best Direction of a Play (Nicholas Hytner), Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play (John Lithgow) and Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play (Aya Cash). Lithgow won the Tony for his portrayal of Dahl.

Giant will be screened in over 900 cinemas in 18 countries including the United Kingdom, USA, Canada, Australia and select international territories beginning November 18.
