What do you consider to be your best asset?
I have a big heart. I try my best to be there for the people in my life. Even if I fail, I try.
What was your proudest moment?
Buying my home. I looked up one day and decided that even if I was living out of suitcases, I wanted to know where my bed was.
What is your favorite drink?
Right now? Limeade. Plain limeade. Bourbon-spiked limeade. Gimme limeade.
What is your favorite food?
I love soaked garri with avocado.
What is your favorite condiment?
Right now, it’s this Cackalacky Hot Sauce my partner got me from South Carolina. It goes on everything.
What is your current obsession?
Halle Bailey’s song “Angel.” I am learning it. Adding it to the repertoire. No one will be spared.
Also: yellow Julia Child roses. Perfection.
If you could give up one of your vices, what would it be?
The internet. All of it. Throw it away for a month and see if I can still survive.
What is the one professional accomplishment you long for most?
To be accomplished enough to relax.
What is the one thing you waste too much money on?
Clothes. This woman loves a good “shop.” Mounds of clothing EVERYWHERE.
What is the one activity you waste too much time doing?
Phone games. I am on level 1,159 of Match Factory…and if they keep making levels, I’ll keep playing.
What do you consider to be the single greatest threat to your health?
Work.
What’s the single best trait you inherited or learned from your parents?
My mother’s inherent nature is kindness. She would never choose to hurt you, and if she had to, it would hurt her just as much. I am by no means perfect, but I really do try to place myself in someone else’s shoes and behave accordingly.
What’s the single worst trait you inherited or learned from your parents?
Avoidance of health concerns. Heeeey, family….
What in the world most thrills you?
Teaching. Kids in a classroom, sparking alive? Yes. Multiplied by yes.
What current trend in popular culture most irritates you?
I don’t know about irritation…but I am tired of being tricked. Vegan cheese does not taste like dairy cheese. It’s OK to call it nut spread.
What was the most embarrassing moment you’ve ever experienced on the job?
I mean, I am sure there are stories. I am not always great with faces and names — especially when I’m really busy. I’m sure I have done something to someone at some time. …Please, someone, accept my apology.
What is your favorite place in the world?
I love a spa. And I love the open ocean. Where the sky meets the sea? The best.
What is the most important trait you seek in a romantic partner?
A partner in passion. Creative compatibility.
Do you prefer the company of dogs or cats?
I mean…hand me an allergy pill and a cat that acts like a dog. I am in the market for a lap cat, thank you very much.

Good sleep. Good meal. Good music. And a good laugh.
What is your personal motto?
Integrity in all things.
