Other Desert Cities will play a 16-week limited engagement at Broadway’s Hudson Theatre (141 West 44th Street) with previews starting Tuesday, September 29 ahead of a Sunday, October 18 opening night. The limited engagement will end Sunday, January 17, 2027.

On Christmas Eve, the sunlit Palm Springs home of a politically connected family becomes a battleground of memory, loyalty, and legacy when a daughter returns with a memoir and the power to expose the explosive truth they’ve kept hidden. As the past comes into focus, the question isn’t just what happened, but who owns a family’s story, and what is the cost to tell it.

Lincoln Center Theater’s new season on Broadway (2026-2027) at the Vivian Beaumont Theater brings the first-ever Broadway revival of Aaron Sorkin’s seminal work, A Few Good Men, starring Bradley Whitford and Tom Blyth (in his Broadway debut), with direction by Tony Award winner Michael Arden.

Before “The West Wing” and The Social Network, Aaron Sorkin left an indelible mark on American storytelling with the breakout 1989 hit play A Few Good Men. This fall, the explosive courtroom drama returns to Broadway in a bold new production—sharp, thrilling, and relevant as ever.

Military lawyer Daniel Kaffee is known for his wit, charm, and uncanny talent for closing cases before they ever get to trial. When assigned to defend two young Marines accused of murder, his typical strategy is upended by Lt. Commander JoAnne Galloway, a sharp attorney determined to prove the men’s innocence. But the evidence soon leads them to a cover-up, putting them on a collision course with the entire chain of command.

Starring Emmy Award® winner Bradley Whitford (“The West Wing”) and Tom Blyth (The Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) – in his Broadway debut – and directed by six-time Tony Award winner Michael Arden (Maybe Happy Ending), A Few Good Men shows the cost of following your conscience in a system built on secrecy and obedience—and asks us to choose the truth anyway. Suzie Miller’s new play, Inter Alia, will be coming to Broadway this Fall for a strictly limited engagement. The production, which had sold-out runs at the National Theatre in 2025 and in the West End, will star Golden Globe®, Emmy Award®-Winning, and BAFTA, Academy Award-nominee Rosamund Pike, who reprises her riveting and critically acclaimed performance as Jessica Parks, as she makes her Broadway debut. Directed by Justin Martin, Inter Alia will begin preview performances on November 10, before an opening on December 1, 2026, at The Music Box Theatre.

Inter Alia was nominated for Best New Play at the 2026 Olivier Awards, and Ms. Pike received the 2026 Olivier Award for Best Actress and 2026 Critics’ Circle Theatre Award for Best Actress.

Inter Alia, meaning “among other things”, is the story of Jessica Parks (Ms. Pike), a maverick London Crown Court Judge who is determined to change a system she knows isn’t always just. Inter Alia examines the balance of motherhood and modern masculinity, and of career and family. This “searing legal drama” (The Guardian) is an educational and relatable phenomenon that will touch the hearts of Broadway audiences.

Created by the duo behind the West End and Broadway hit Prima Facie, BAFTA-Award-winning director Justin Martin and Olivier Award-winning writer Suzie Miller, bring you this “swaggering epic” (The Independent) that is valiant, sharp and deeply human. It premiered at the National Theatre in London and became a box office hit, leading to not only a West End transfer, but also a live broadcast via National Theatre Live to cinemas worldwide which has already been seen by over 450,000 people around the globe.

As previously announced, Lincoln Center Theater is proud to present a reimagining of Whoopi Goldberg’s iconic show. Written by Whoopi Goldberg and directed by two-time Tony Award nominee Whitney White, The Whoopi Monologues stars Emmy Award Nominee Dominique Fishback, Emmy and Tony Award winner Kecia Lewis, NAACP Image Award Winner Danielle Pinnock, Emmy Award-winning producer and Golden Globe-nominated actress Kerry Washington, and two-time Tony Award winner Kara Young, with Kai Heath, Denise Manning, and Pavar Snipe rounding out the cast as understudies.

Emmy Award and SAG Award nominee Jurnee Smollett (“Lovecraft Country,” “Smoke”) will join the company beginning Tuesday, August 4. Smollett will be taking over for Kerry Washington, who will play her last performance on Sunday, August 2.

In 1984, then unknown monologist Whoopi Goldberg premiered her provocative, thought-provoking one-woman show at Dance Theatre Workshop before it transferred to Broadway later that year, torching the rulebook of traditional solo performance in one of the most electrifying debuts of the era. Now, the trailblazing work returns— reimagined for a new generation led by a remarkable ensemble of 5 women bringing Goldberg’s unforgettable characters back to the stage, in this new production directed by Tony Award nominee Whitney White. Directed by Tony Award nominee Maria Dizzia, performances for the limited engagement begin on Tuesday, September 1 with an opening night set for Monday, September 14, and is set to play through Sunday, October 25.

The critically acclaimed production, and New York Times Critic’s Pick, will feature Academy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Lupita Nyong’o, Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Edie Falco, Tony and Emmy Award nominee Phillipa Soo, Actor Award nominee Hari Nef, and Tony Award nominee Susannah Flood, performing the alternating role of ‘A.’ The cast will also include Drama Desk Award nominee Greg Keller, Pulitzer Prize finalist Dael Orlandersmith, and Drama Desk Award winner Sarah Steele, reprising their roles from the production’s run at the Connelly Theater.

A new production of Arthur Miller’s seminal work, A View from the Bridge, will play off-Broadway at the historic Ellen Stewart Theatre at La MaMa. Directed by Neil Pepe, A View from the Bridge will star Academy Award^® winner and Tony Award^® nominee Sam Rockwell as ‘Eddie’; Tony Award nominee Marin Ireland as ‘Beatrice’; and Tony, Olivier and Emmy Award nominee Alfred Molina as ‘Alfieri’. Performances for this strictly limited, 13-week engagement begin on November 27, with an opening night on Sunday, December 13.

Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge tells the story of Eddie Carbone, a Brooklyn longshoreman whose tightly held world begins to unravel when his wife Beatrice’s cousins, Marco and Rodolpho, arrive from Italy seeking a new life in America. As Catherine, the niece Eddie has raised as his own, falls in love with Rodolpho, Eddie’s protectiveness curdles into jealousy, setting him on a course toward an irreversible act of betrayal that fractures his family and his community. Set in the immigrant neighborhoods of 1950s Brooklyn, Miller’s searing tragedy explores the tensions between devotion and desire, justice and loyalty, and the promise and pressures of the American Dream.

The seminal Miller masterwork premiered off-Broadway for the first time in 1965 at the Sheridan Square Playhouse starring Robert Duvall, Jon Voight, with direction by Ulu Grosbard and assistant direction by Dustin Hoffman. This 2026 production marks the first time since 1965 that it will have its off-Broadway return.

Doctorow’s novel that follows three fictional families in pursuit of the American Dream at the dawn of the 20th Century: Black pianist Coalhouse Walker, Jr. and his beloved Sarah, Jewish immigrant Tateh and his little girl, and a wealthy white family led by matriarch Mother. All grasping for the same dream, if only they can hold on to it. Featuring a lush score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, a stirring book by Terrence McNally and original orchestrations by William David Brohn, all of whom won Tony Awards for their work, Ragtime weaves fictional narratives with real historical figures and events, creating a rich tapestry that blurs the line between personal struggle and national identity, making history feel both intimate and epic. Ragtime has been described by critics as “the show of the moment,” “glorious,” “a staggering, stunning triumph,” and “a brightly shining revival.”

Originally scheduled as a 14-week engagement that began last September, Lincoln Center Theater’s limited engagement of Ragtime has been extended three times by popular demand with performances now through August 16, 2026 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65^th Street). It was also recently announced that Ragtime will launch a North American Tour in the fall of 2027. The tour will premiere at Shea’s Buffalo Theatre in Buffalo, New York, before continuing onto cities across the U.S. and Canada. Additional tour stops and casting will be announced at a later date.

Ragtime’s 2025 Broadway Cast Recording, which was released by Concord Theatricals Recordings is available on all streaming and download platforms. The album was produced by three-time Grammy® Award winner Sean Patrick Flahaven and four-time Grammy Award nominees Ahrens and Flaherty. The album was recorded, edited, and mixed by Grammy Award winner Ian Kagey and mastered by multiple Grammy winner Oscar Zambrano with art direction by Derek Bishop. Catapult Opera projects a more dynamic future for opera; they seek to broaden the art form and its audience, launching innovative productions that celebrate the classically trained voice. Catapult Opera innovates to accomplish this goal by providing grants to singer-songwriters outside the classical realm to create short works at the intersection of their genre and opera. One goal of this program is to build a repository of innovative recorded material to which each grantee contributes by allowing access on the Catapult website.

Catapult Opera also promotes the development and acceptance of recorded operatic performance by holding competitions for short, filmed pieces that deliver a visual component as rich, immediate, and compelling as their musical language. To this end, in autumn 2020, they held a team-based competition to produce video performances of specific opera scenes chosen by Catapult. The resulting content was judged by a panel of international opera visionaries and posted on the Internet for open adjudication. The competition offered recognition for innovation as well as monetary prizes. Their intention is to continue this competition in future years to prod the development of visually satisfying opera videos.

Sitting directly in the Hudson River itself, Little Island opened in May 2021 and has since been enjoyed by more than 7.5 million visitors and has presented and produced more than 885 performances. In 2013, Barry Diller, in partnership with Hudson River Park Trust leadership, embarked on the unique opportunity to envision a solution for the repair and reactivation of Pier 54, which had been badly damaged by Hurricane Sandy. The park was designed as an entirely new type of public space for New York, one that would create an immersive experience of nature and art. Born from a collaboration of the UK-based Heatherwick Studio and the New York-based landscape architecture firm MNLA, led by Signe Nielsen, the park’s imaginative design offers all New Yorkers and visitors a new public space that is dynamic, captivating, and restorative.

Little Island is fully funded by The Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation. Zack Winokur is Producing Artistic Director. The park is operated year-round by a 50-member staff led by Executive Director Laura Clement.

This year’s iteration of I Put A Spell On You, dubbed “A Sanderson Sister Act,” once again benefits the Ali Forney Center, the nation’s leading full-service organization dedicated to supporting LGBTQIA+ youth experiencing homelessness. Last year’s “The 10th Anniversary” raised more than $345,000 and helped the AFC achieve the historic milestone of purchasing their first permanent shelter, Casa Cecilia, named in honor of the late transgender activist Cecilia Gentili. The shelter has since opened in Harlem.

Created in 2016 as “Jay’s Not So Scary Halloween Party,” the event has grown from beginnings at 54 Below to viral iterations attended and streamed by tens of thousands worldwide. “A Sanderson Sister Act” marks their third year at Webster Hall and the fourth benefiting the AFC.

The Festival is a first-of-its-kind three-day outdoor celebration of Broadway’s greatest hits and brightest stars, that will come to the Hudson River waterfront August 14–16, 2026 at Kingston’s historic Hutton Brickyards. Designed as a true destination event, The Festival will bring together an extraordinary lineup of Broadway artists and will be directed by Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell and D.B. Bonds, and directed by Mitchell and Jon Rua.

The Festival will kick off on Friday, August 14 with doors opening at 2PM and programming from 3pm ET – 11pm ET. The lineup for Friday will include Christopher Jackson, Adrienne Warren, Alex Newell, Betty Who, Eva Noblezada, Gianmarco Soresi, Mandy Gonzalez, Reeve Carney, and Solea Pfeiffer.

Friday programming includes Broadway Rave, a Broadway dance party celebrating the best in showtunes in musical theater; The Festival Sings Disney featuring Mandy Gonzalez, Adrienne Warren, Alex Newell and more singing their favorite Disney songs; Broadway Inspirations featuring Adrienne Warren, Mitch Wood, Alex Newell, Mandy Gonzalez and more as they perform songs that helped them get their start, dream roles, and favorite musical theater classics; a cabaret from Reeve Carney and Eva Noblezada; The Big Show: A Weekend in the Country featuring Adrienne Warren, Alex Newell, Mandy Gonzalez, Christopher Jackson, and more; Don’t Quit Your Night Job, a Broadway comedy improv variety show featuring sketches, games and Musical Madlibs (oh my!) with Steve Rosen, David Rossmer, Sarah Saltzberg, Dan Lipton on the keys, and your favorite stars performing without a net; and a Campfire Singalong hosted by Betty Who, featuring Adrienne Warren, Christopher Jackson, Mandy Gonzalez and more.

Sunday programming includes Broadway’s Next Generation, where you can be among the first to see the Broadway stars of tomorrow, today, performing your favorite Broadway hits; Ladies Who Brunch with Patti Murin, an intimate hour of songs and stories from Hudson Valley resident Patti Murin’s life on stage; The Festival Rising Stars, an “American Idol” style show featuring YOU; Adam Pascal & Anthony Rapp: Celebrating Friendship and History, featuring the iconic duo as they bring their friendship and history together for an unforgettable and celebratory set of music, stories and fun; Duet to Me One More Time, Broadway stars singing your favorite Broadway duets featuring Denee Bentson, Adam Pascal, Talia Suskauer, Lauren Patten and more; Tom Kitt and Friends, featuring Tom Kitt and guests singing through his catalogue; and The Big Show: Sunday in the Park, the show-stopping finale to our weekend featuring Audra McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Denee Benton, Lauren Patten, Talia Suskauer, and more.

Blending concert performances with immersive fan experiences, The Festival will feature unforgettable performances from beloved Broadway classics, campfire sing-alongs, a ‘Club Cumming on the Hudson’ piano bar, Broadway Rave’s iconic dance party, theatrical costume contests, and more. Each evening, The Festival will conclude with electric solo and ensemble performances featuring marquee talent presenting beloved songs, both well-known classics and surprising mashups and medleys. The Festival will be directed by Broadway legend and Tony Award^®-winning choreographer and director Jerry Mitchell and D.B. Bonds, with choreography by Jerry Mitchell and Jon Rua music supervision by Dan Lipton, and music direction by Will Van Dyke.

Beyond the stage, featured performers and industry professionals will take part in outdoor events throughout the scenic Hudson Valley resort grounds, with various experiences, lessons, host lectures, panels and masterclasses, all to be announced very soon. The Festival will also deliver an exemplary music festival experience, featuring locally sourced food and beverage offerings from top Hudson Valley chefs and mixologists, along with a curated marketplace spotlighting the region’s artisans, makers, and merchants.

The Festival will also include special events benefitting the wonderful work done by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is the philanthropic heart of Broadway, helping ensure those affected by HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses, as well as those within the theater industry, receive medication, healthy meals, counseling and emergency assistance.

As Theatre Aspen continues its 43^rd season, it continues to rekindle a sense of discovery in audiences who live in and visit the Roaring Fork Valley by producing big theatre in a small space with intimate storytelling.
