New York, NY (March 31, 2026) – Producer and director Alan Kliffer announced today that Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Musical Parody, will have a full, staged run Off-Broadway this spring following 8 sold-out concert presentations of the musical earlier this month. Written by Dylan MarcAurele, the production will star Jay Armstrong Johnson as ‘Ilya Rozanov’ and Jimin Moon as ‘Shane Hollander.’ Performances begin on Tuesday, May 12 at the 6th Floor Theater at 530 West 27th St (formerly The McKittrick Hotel) ahead of an official opening night on Tuesday, May 26 for 8-weeks only.
The production will also star Ryann Redmond, Cherry Torres, and Ryan Duncan.

Inspired by the hit show about hockey, Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Musical Parody follows starry-eyed golden boy Shane Hollander on his journey from power center to power bottom.
Relive all of the moments from the show that made you wet (with tears) up close on the small-stage by an incredible cast of Broadway actors who thought they were auditioning to be in Season 2. Sporting a bop-infused score, scene-stealing cameos by characters like “Rose Landry” and “Ilya’s Ass”, and time jumps absolutely no one can keep track of, audiences will find themselves hot, bothered, and probably saying, “….Girl!”

CHERRY TORRES (Shane’s Mom & Others) is a Broadway actor and vocalist from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and a graduate of Berklee College of Music. She made her First National Tour and Broadway debuts in the Tony and Grammy Award–winning musical Hamilton, where she now stars as Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds in the 10th Anniversary Broadway cast. Her performance credits span Broadway, national tours, regional theatre, and international stages, including In the Heights (Nina), Rock of Ages (Sherrie), Smokey Joe’s Cafe (Brenda), and Evita, where she made history as the first actress to portray Eva Perón in Puerto Rico’s English-language production.
RYAN DUNCAN (Ilya’s Dad & Others). On Broadway, Ryan has been seen in Gettin’ the Band Back Together and Shrek. ALAN KLIFFER (Direction)is originally from Canada, and has been producing, writing, directing and teaching comedy for over twenty years. Kliffer was the Artistic Director at Asylum NYC Chelsea for five years, putting the theatre on the map as an NYC comedy hub. He subsequently served as the inaugural (and last) Artistic Director of The Second City New York. In addition, Kliffer has produced industry audition showcases for Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show, and Just For Laughs, as well as award winning plays and musicals. Current productions include: [Palatable] Gay Robot, Don’t Stop I’m About To Jazz, Flop! The Fully Improvised Musical Fiasco and more! He is forever grateful to his parents Susan and Frank Kliffer and partner Barrett Davis.
